Mohammad Matiur Rahman (10 March 1892 – 18 October 1965) was a teacher, researcher and writer of Bangladesh. He taught in different madrasas and schools. He was a compiler of the historical dictionary, published in 1967 from Bangla Academy. His books of classical books are, Pusp Mystery (1921), Plant Mystery (1926), Geography of Mymensingh (1928), Dewan Isa Khan etc. In recognition of his regional history, Pakundia Alhak Literary Society awarded him gold medal in 1929.

Mohammad Motiur Rahman was born in Hossundi of Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj district. His father’s name was Munshi Mohammad Hanif and the mother’s name was Mohammed Mamrojouna He passed matriculation examination from Kishoreganj High School in 1913 and went to Jagannath College Dhaka for a year.
