Khan Bahadur Abdul Karim was born on 12 September 1873. Her father Mulve Ahmed and mother Sayeda Sayedunnessa Moulvi Ahmed were a deputy magistrate. His family came from Iraq to Bengal in 13th century in order to propagate his ancestor Shah Taj Muhammad, in Bahrainagar village of Bajitpur Upazila of Kishoreganj district.

He received primary education in Barisal, Sudharam and Faridpur for his father’s work. He passed the Entrance from Dhaka Madrasa in 1890 and F.A. from Dhaka College in 1892. In 1895, he became the first class student of BA examination in English literature from Calcutta St. Xavier’s College. In 1898, he received the B.L. from Calcutta University. Get the degree.

Abdul Karim joined the Dhaka Judge Court as a lawyer in 1899. In 1903, he became a project prosecutor in Comilla Judge Court. He was the Chairman of the Tripura District Board from 1922 to 1927.

He was a member of the Council of the Indian Legislative Council from 1926 to 1930. During the time of membership in Delhi and Shimla session in Delhi in 1927 and twice in Delhi and Shimla meetings in 1928, Chairman was present in the chairman panel.

In the situation of the members of the Legislative Assembly in 1930, he was the President of the Faridpur Bengal Provincial Muslim Conference. In 1937, he was elected a member of the Bengal Legislative Council. He served as a teacher in the cabinet of AK Fazlul Huq in 1941.

Abdul Karim died in Bahrainagar on 3 March 1945.
