Ananda Mohan Basu was a Bengali politician and social worker. He was born in Jaysiddiddhi village of Itna thana of Kishoreganj district. His father Padmokhokan Bose was present in the court of Mymensingh judge. Sons of Jagdish Chandra Bose, his wife, Pradhan, Anandamohan Bose was born into a Brahma religion.

Anandamohan Basu was born in a landed family of Jaysiddiddhi village in Kishoreganj district. His early education began in Mymensingh Mymensingh Zilla School passed 9th place on merit list and passed Entrance examination. FA and BA examinations from Presidency College Take the top position in both the examinations. In 1870, Lovechand got the scholarship of Roychand, given by Calcutta University. To get higher education with scholarships went to England. He studied higher mathematics from Christ College, Cambridge. With honors degree examinations, Trips test gained the first grade and earned the fortune of being the first Indian ranger. Since 1874, he started the law business.

Anandamohan Bose was elected a member of the Bengal Manager’s Council in 1884, 1890 and 1895. He strongly opposed the partition of 1905.

Mymensingh established a school named Mymensingh Institution (1883), currently Ananda Mohan College (Bangladesh). With the help of Shibnath Shastri, established City School in Calcutta (1879). It is now an Anandamohan College (Calcutta). In Calcutta, Banga women played an important role in setting up schools.
