Chandrabati is considered to be the first female poet in Bengali literature. He was born in 1550. His father was named Bandidas Bhattacharya who is considered as a musician of Mansoho Mongol. 1575. The poet Chandravati Ram (Ram) started criticizing Ramayana from the point of view of criticism. But unfortunately, he could not finish his job.
There are two Shibu temples near Chandravati village, 6 kilometers away from Kishoreganj city. It’s small in size. This temple is related to many stories of Chandravati and his life. It is believed that contemporary temples of poets were built in the middle of the 16th century.
It was about 3 pm in the afternoon so I was the only tourist to have some settlement near the temple. During the holidays the authorities are probably created for the audience
How to leave
Originally, most educated people from Kishoreganj town asked this temple and poet Chandrabati to know about it. But it will be difficult to identify the temple. A ‘simple-cycle’ driver can easily come from Shahidi mosque stand in the city. Temple road near Chandrabati and from there you will have to bridge the bridge over the heresy and there are some 7/8 minutes walking there. You can follow the instruction.
How to go
Basically most of the literate person from Kishoreganj town use to know about this temple and Poet Chondraboti. But it would be slightly difficult to locate the mandir. An ‘easy-bike’ driver from the Shohidi Mosque stand of the town can come in handy. He may drop you at the road side near the village Chandrabotiand from there you have to cross the bridge over the river Narasunda and have to walk around 7/8 minutes to reach near the temples. You can follow the below directions to locate the temple.
1) Ride on an easy bike from the Shohidi Mosque Stand. Ask the driver to drop you near the Chandraboti village. This will be just after (2-3 minutes) the Jalalganj Station. GPS coordinate of the dropping point is (24°29’46.85″N, 90°47’42.61″E). You have to count 15 taka for the ride.
2) From there, cross the bridge over the river and keep walking. It is not far from there.
