Shaheed Dr. FM Abdul Alim Chowdhury (full name: Abul Foyez Md. Abdul Alim Chowdhury) (physician and intellectual), there (doctors) On 15th December, 1971, the Razak-Al-Badr army took Shaheed Dr. Abdul Alim Chaudhary to his eyes and bury him on the night with the foolish Budhbhumi of Rai-bazar.

Abdul Alim Chowdhury was born in Khairpur village of Kishoreganj district. He got matriculation from Kishoreganj High School in 1954 and passed the ISC in 1947 from Calcutta Islamia College and was admitted to Dhaka Medical College. MBBS from this college in 1955 and a Degree from London in 1961. He was involved in left politics since his student life and actively participated in 52 Language Movement. In 1971, he was working as assistant professor of the eye department of Sir Salimullah Medical College. During the liberation war, he used to help many freedom fighters from the country. He made important contributions in the formation of the then East Pakistan Medical Association and was elected the General Secretary of the Association. In the dormitory he released a literary magazine named ‘Jatra’.

Dr. While Abdul Alim Chowdhury’s wife Shyamoli Nasrin Chowdhury Udon is the school principal. Currently he is the head teacher of his established Uditipanthi School. Their two daughters Farzana Chowdhury Nipa and Nuzhat Chowdhury Shampa Both of them are working as doctors
Career

Professional Life Abdul Alim Chowdhury was a Registrar of London St. James Hospital from 1961 to 1963. Later in the year 1963, he joined the Mirpur Junk Hospital at Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital as the chief eye doctor. He was Assistant Professor of Post Graduate Medicine and Research Institute in Dhaka in 1967. He joined Dhaka Medical College as an Assistant Professor in the Eye Department in 1968. Later in the eye department of Rajshahi Medical College. His last workshop is Sir Salimullah Medical College in Dhaka. Photographs and writings were written by Abdul Alim Chowdhury. In the student life, two progressive monthly journals called ‘Khapale’ and ‘Passi’ were edited. While being a student, he worked as a co-editor in ‘Daily Ittehad’ and ‘Daily Millat’.

On November 3, 2013, the International Criminal Tribunal, Chowdhury Mueenuddin and Ashrafuzzaman Khan were given death penalty by hanging of a hangover for killing 10 intellectuals, including Alim Chowdhury, on 10 to 15 December 1971. The International Crimes Tribunal-

The Postal Department of Bangladesh Government published the memorandum stamp in the name of FM Abdul Alim Chowdhury on Martyred Intellectual Day on 14 December 1991.
