Gurudayal Government College is an educational institute located in Kishoreganj district of Bangladesh. The college was established in 1943. It teaches high school, graduation and postgraduate studies. In the Higher Secondary and Degree category, science, humanities and business education are taught in three branches and education programs are regulated by the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and affiliated to National University of Bachelor and Masters.
In 1943, no college was established in Kishoreganj. If he talked about establishing a college in the district, then he would gladly agree with the education minister Kishoreganj’s son, Khan Bahadur Abdul Karim Khan, a marriage counseling lawyer, Mr. Zillur Rahman, Kishoreganj. As a result, a committee was constituted under the supervision of sub-divisional officer Sad Hussein Chowdhury (President of ex-officio), Abdul Wadud Chowdhury and Bipin Roy K. (joint secretary), Shah Abdul Hamid, Prafulla Chandra Dhar, and Kishoreganj’s leading members and lawmakers.
In 1943, Gurudayal College was established in the name of “Kishoreganj College” under the patronage of the then Education Minister Khan Bahadur Abdul Karim Sahib and educationist Mr. Zillur Rahman. Initially, the education program was started at C & B’s Dak Bungalow beside the Raquel Jute Research Center and D. L. Das was appointed as the Principal of the establishment. In 1945, the Kytarvraj Gurudayal Government donated fifty thousand rupees to meet the financial difficulties of the college and expansion of education program, and by this money, the college and its own land and college buildings were built. Thanks to her, the college is renamed as “Gurudayal College”. That year the college started graduate level programs. In 1948, the science wing was added to the college by the advice of Satyen Basu. Dr. D.L. After Das, Principal Wasimuddin made a significant contribution to the development of the college. In 1980, the college was officially made.
